WELCOME TO

The Rydal Academy

The Rydal Academy is a large and vibrant primary school for pupils aged 2 to 11. The school provides nursery education for children from the term after their second birthday and is structured with up to three classes per year group for Reception through to Year 6. We pride ourselves on being highly inclusive in our approaches in response to the needs of our diverse and ever-changing community.

Our Rydal Values and a strong school ethos, with our children and community at the centre of every decision we make, allows our pupils to flourish and build strong foundations for their future, whatever that may hold. We aim to make everything we do equitable and accessible for our families by removing barriers such as cost, access, or opportunity.

I hope you will take the time to find out more by exploring our website and social media pages or contacting the school to arrange a visit. We look forward to welcoming you to our community as a parent/carer, pupil or colleague and making some amazing memories together in a school where everyone is welcome.

Mr John Armitage
Headteacher

We've loved seeing all of our pupils back in school, settling in and catching up with friends.

It's been extra special welcoming our new Reception and Nursery children into our wonderful school community. πŸ’™ Their smiles say it all!

We can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store. Here's to a fantastic year ahead! 🌟

🌟 A huge transformation over the summer! 🌟

Our premises team, alongside dedicated contractors, were working hard throughout the summer making improvements to create an even better environment for our school community.

Seeing the smiles and hearing the positive feedback from pupils and staff as they returned to the refreshed spaces this week has made all the hard work worthwhile. πŸ’™

Take a look at some of the changes below! πŸ‘‡ πŸ“Έ
