🏅 Outstanding Achievement at Tees Valley Athletics! 🏅

We are beyond proud of David in Year 5, who represented not only The Rydal Academy but also Darlington at the Tees Valley Athletics - what an incredible achievement!

Out of 15,000 Year 5 pupils across the Tees Valley, David achieved an outstanding 3rd place in the 60-metre sprint.

Mr Armitage said, "We are incredibly proud of David's achievement. He was shown our school values of perseverance and resilience to get through the regional heats and into the Darlington team, then to perform so well in the finals. He demonstrated fantastic teamwork on the day and was a very proud and vocal supporter of Team Darlington. He has also shown our TRA value of aspiration in immediately setting himself the target of making it back to the Tees Valley finals next year with the aim of winning gold!"

Please join us in congratulating David on this fantastic achievement by leaving your messages below! 👇
