The Rydal Academy has a clear policy on fundraising. With the aim that every child benefits directly from fundraising activities as all money raised goes back to supporting the costs of resources, educational visits and activities.
We hold an Autumn term (linked to reading) and Summer term (linked to spelling) event to raise money for school and a Spring term (linked to maths) event to raise money and provide publicity for a local, national or international charity nominated by the children.
On occasions, an additional event may take place if we are raising money for a particular project, but this would be exceptional.
The school will support a variety of local, national and international charity events across the year without asking for donations. Donations will only be requested for our Spring term charity event to support the charity identified by our children.
