School Day (Reception / Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2)
Reception & Key Stage 1 pupils should be in school by the start time of 8:50am (doors open 8:45am and close 8:55am) Key Stage 2 pupils should be in school by the start time 9:00am (doors open 8:55am and close 9:05am)
Parents/Carers are requested to send their children to school to arrive no earlier than when doors will be opened for access. Any messages for teachers may be passed on via support staff who will be supervising access doors.
All pupils will have a 30-minute sit-down lunch. All Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils will also have a 20-minute assembly (Wednesday and Thursday) and six teaching activities on a typical school day. Learning breaks will be built into the day by teachers in response to the needs of the class.
The school day finishes at 3.20pm (Reception & Key Stage 1)and 3:30pm (Key Stage 2) Children are brought out onto the playground by class teachers before being collected or going home by themselves. (If written consent has been provided)
Learning Breaks
Learning breaks will be built into the day by teachers in response to the needs of the class. Children should not bring their toys to play with as equipment is provided on both playgrounds. Personal possessions are the responsibility of the child and not the school. Any items may be confiscated until collected by an adult.
Children are permitted to bring fruit as a snack for playtimes. Nuts or products containing nuts are not permitted on site.
Length of the school day
All pupils access a 32.5 hour core school week.
